Here I am with my running buddy around half way through our run.
Oh yeah, total time for 10K was 81 minutes...yes I know, you're all jealous of my ability to hold back ;)
Now, the good thing about registering for the 10K, was that I wanted to at least try and run today. So after we got home from shopping...I took a nap and then uber hubby and I went out for a run. We ended up doing a 5K and I am very proud of myself. Let me remind new readers that I ran 5K for the first time in my life, on September 12, 2009 (that's about 4 months ago)...and it was HARD! So 18K in two days...happy :)
I am starting to trust my body more...to know my "runner" self better and to be less afraid to push a little further. Had it not been for Casey's 10K, I know that I would have chosen to rest today...but now I know that I can go that extra step and the cool thing is, I still have a lot of improvability (probably not a word) in me. Tomorrow, I rest...
Cheers!

Great job on the virtual 10k! You are an inspiration to many,I really love the premise of your blog. Thank you for the shout out for my race, you are so sweet and I appreciate the support. Thanks for visiting my blog!
Great job! I'm impressed!!
Wow that is awesome!
Thanks for the comments on my blog. A memoir is the first thing I have to write. 1000-2000 words of me! Ack! Actually it looks like it can be an event, which is easier to write about than a whole life. I've already started something with the hopes that it is what the assignment will actually be. So far I'm not impressed with the instructor and I may be mis-interpreting the assignment.
Excellent job running 13K on Friday and then another 5K today. You now deserve a rest!
The good thing about virtual races is that they're pretty flexible about when you actually do the run! Enjoy your day of rest today - I still have to get my run in this morning and am waiting for the sun to come up and my husband to WAKE up!
Great job. Take a nice rest today!
Well done! Be very proud of yourself!
Bravo! And I like that you are listening to your body. Enjoy your day off!
I love your header picture. Where is it taken? If you look at my most recent post you'll see I lived in Quebec for just one year. I loved it. I haven't read through old posts so I'm not sure what you have run but I always eye the Quebec City marathon as one I would like to do. I also came to running later in life. Good luck on your running.
Here is my last post if you are interested.

Thanks for visiting my blog! I really enjoyed reading yours. You have a great attitude that serves you well. Pace is a tough one for me too. It took me forever to "trust my runner self" Good Job!

OK, this comment has nothing to do with your post. I just wanted to say I love the picture you use for your banner.
Love the picture congrats!!
Congratulations! Still making it around to everyone. So many people participated in Casey virtual 10k! Love the picture. We just lost all our snow to rain, ugh! I'd rather have snow than rain.
I will enjoy getting some time to catch up on your blog. Thanks for joining in my little journey. I hope we can inspire eachother!!
