Quick update...

"When it is obvious that the goals cannot be reached, don't adjust the goals, adjust the action steps."
Confucious
During my last PT appointment on Thursday, she did a taping on my ankle. She also encouraged me to take Advil more regularly (NOTE: this PT does not promote the use of anti-inflammatories, quite the contrary, but she felt it might be warranted in this case). Both have helped and I am back out there on the bike. Not too long and no spinning, but at least I'm riding. 10K today and my ankle did okay...there is still pain, but it is not as intense.

That's it, just updating more for myself. Like many of you, blogging is my way of keeping a record of my running journey.

Have a great weekend...enjoy the extra time off!
Happy Easter!
Cheers!

Have you ever used Kinesio Tape? I orginally started using it for my arm lymphedema - but started using it when my IT band was hurting. I love it and it might be useful for your ankle.

Glad you are back on your bike.

Hope you can find fulfillment and satisfaction with your biking while taking a break from running! Who knows, maybe you will surprise us with where the riding will take you? I am hoping to get out on my bike tomorrow for the first time this season!

Enjoy your long weekend too and Happy Easter!

I have a friend that injured her calf while spinning last week. She might miss Comrades because of that. This tells me spinning should only be done by seasoned cyclists.
