"Perfectionism is self-abuse of the highest order."
Anne Wilson Schaef
Remember that there's a difference between doing your best and being a perfectionist...I just thought I'd mention that.
Yesterday, uber hubby and I ran a nice 3K and it went fine. In the evening we went to Ben and Miglena's for dinner and it was delicious and we had an amazing time!
Good friends :)
I am proud to say that despite the asthma crap, today I ran my 10K (this was not a race, just my long run). The cool thing about being Canadian, is that 10K sounds longer than 6.2 miles and 7.27min/K sounds faster than 11.07min/mile...so TGIC! ;)
Actually, I'm pretty pleased with my time, because I wasn't pushing (except the last K) and I had to take some Ventolin at the half-way point (to be expected). Still overall, a very respectable run.
Despite the return of the hat, mits and coat. This is post-run and I'm all wet!
Miglena, just so you know, I tried one fresh date before the run and one after about 50 minutes. I know you said two before heading out, but I really need to get used to the taste first. I'm sure it was beneficial though, and by the time I get to 14K and over, I should be ready for two :)
Looking forward to reading all the race recaps.
Cheers!

Looks like a great weekend. Congrats on your race. Glad you are pleased with it!
Good job on the 10K! You're right about the whole K vs. Mile thing ... maybe I'll make the switch. It would make me feel so much faster!
You do look wet! I hope you got to go in and take a hot shower right away!
Hi Anne,
It looks like you had another nice weekend:) It must be so nice to share not only your love of running with Meglina but to also be good friends that socialize outside of running:)
Nice job on your 10k Anne:) You are doing so well! Bummer about the wet snow:(
Congrats on the great race! Is that rain or snow that I see?
Good for you!!! You look MAD HARDCORE after that run lady!!
Sounds like a nice weekend! Congrats on the 10K! (I agree, love being Canadian since the distances sound so much longer, hehe)
Eekk, back to the warm clothes?! It won't be long I'm sure. Anyway, nice job on the 10k(it does sound longer)and girl, I LOVED your quote. Loved it. You should blog, blog, blog about that one RIGHT now...some of us need to hear it!

Congrats on your 10K! :)
Looks like your weather switched to snow - similar to ours. But today was beautiful.
Great running in the relapse of snow / with your hat, mits and coat.
Enjoy the week.
Nice job on the runs - especially that 10K in the icky weather! I agree, I think min/km sound so much speedier than min/mi. :)
good pace! I am glad you took the dates :) did they make any (noticeable) difference?
omg! that last pic of you...it's so cold! brrr! and love the pic of you and your friends. I saw your friends bog and had to follow;-)
Great job on the 10K Anne! You look so happy in those pictures, even all wet!
Hi, Anne
Congrats- and love the pictures you post!
By the way, every once in a while I come across someone who cannot email me at work. Something to do with our server...you can send your info to psyche.wimberly@yahoo.com if you like.
Keep chuggling along...
Good run! Too bad about the weather...
I also eat dates before running - I absolutely LOVE them! Much better than any gel...
Great job on your 10K! I had to laugh at the "TGIC"!
Sounds like you had some good fun again. I'm also happy my country measures in km. Makes all the goals feel easier! I have lots of respect for you and what you are doing with running. Keep well!
It looks a little chilly...is that snow? I'm so over winter! Great job on your 10K, sounds like a lot of fun. Keep running strong, girl!!
