Well, I'm not hating hills and THAT is a surprise to me. I'm at the half-way mark in terms of number of hill repeats (4 X 500m) and my heartrate went up to 155 by the last hill, which is 5 bpm more than the first time I did hills, but I attribute this to the prednisone. Overall, my heartrate was good and I recuperated quickly. I feel no pain while I run hills (either going up or down). Although in my car after, my right knee gave off a mild ache that didn't last very long. So, interestingly, I'm kind of liking the hardcore feel of doing hills :)
After 12 days on prednisone, I'm back to eating the crumbs off the floor after a meal! Sheesh. It's unbelievable how hungry I am...every minute of the day. Thank goodness I'm working out more (I even went to do my strength training today after my hills). Admittedly, another side-effect of prednisone is the extra boost in energy. My closets should be all cleaned out by the weekend, my reports up-to-date, my garden planted, my bread baked, my pants fixed...okay, I'm exaggerating a tad a lot...but, man I'm hyper!
8 more days...and I'm good to go!
Cheers!

That prednisone - energy boost thing sounds pretty good. I haven't cleaned any of my cupboards in years!
take advantage of the extra enegry while you can!
If you get bored and need something to clean, feel free to head over here! Yay for only 8 more days!
Love the illustration!
Also, I totally remembering being ravenous when I was on prednisone for allergies. Crazy times!
Steroids SUCK when it comes to eating correctly and not being absolutely starving!!!
Have fun cleaning.
Steriods may be hard on the diet but I totally remember running faster than ever when I had my sinus infection last year. At least you're using your productivity for good things!
Great work on the hills! Happy for you that it's only 8 days. Eat and enjoy, you are really training hard.
I need to do major cleaning. Oh well, it's not happening any time soon. Good job on the hills.
And hills make you stronger! Good show!
Glad you were enjoying the hills. Enjoy them!!
I remember the PREDNISONE HIGH. And that is the ONLY way I can describe it. My friend always wondered why I parked at the Library and walked all the way to school, instead of just parking at the school when I was on prednisone. I'd say, "I'm eating like a teenage boy" followed by "Dont you feel the need to walk a bit before sitting (twitching) through class???". I'm glad you're able to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
And go you and your bad a** self, out there kicking those hills into submission!!!
Oh Anne,
I wish I could do hills as good as you!! Hills are so hard for me...I just have issues with keeping my breathing regulated. You are doing great...keep it up:)
Good for you and I'm loving the progress of the "ticker lady".
You are welcome to come to MS and get rid of your hyperness, believe me I have more than enough to keep you busy! Good for you with doing the hills, it's hard work but so so worth it. Cheers!
Hmmm...should I be investigating prednisone as a means to running faster...? Probably not!
Take advantage of the upside while you can. You are doing great:)
Hmm, I could use some of that extra energy. ;)
Great job tackling those hills!
Nice job on those hills!
I guess it is a good thing prednisone gives energy since it also makes you hungry huh?
Hills - we have a love/hate relationship. I like how they make my runs more interesting, I like how my lungs feel stronger, but sometimes I just hate them! :) I guess whatever is hard is good for us huh?
Sheesh, my closets need cleaned....I'd pay for energy like that ;)
Great Job!
I have a lot more to clean than just the closets...although I feel like I am cleaning constantly! =)
