Update on my injury

“Some cause happiness wherever they go; others whenever they go”

;)

Tuesday, my PT will decide whether I can start running again this week. The plan, if all works out, is to start my marathon training plan! I'm a little behind as this week is week 4 of an 18 week plan, which leaves me 14 weeks of training before my marathon. If all goes well, I'm confident that it will be enough. I can't wait to get started, I'm really excited!

Once again, I'd like to thank you for your touching comments regarding my brother's recent struggles and inspiring comeback. Hope you all had a nice weekend!
Cheers!

Hope you get good news from your PT. For what it's worth, I ended up starting in week 4 of a 19 week plan for my last marathon, also due to finishing up some PT, and it wasn't too bad 'catching up' to the plan's levels. Just be cautious so you don't undo the therapy. Fingers crossed for a green-light to run.

I will keep you in my prayers - you will be out there training for the marathon soon!

I hope you get to experience some of the wonderful warm temps that we have down here. Today's high was 48 in WI. They are predicting 30 - 40's all week!

ENJOY

Hey Ann, thanks for the message, I am alive and well, hope your get all the all clear and can start training, I worked four summers in a row as a camp counsellor over ten years ago at the Fresh air fund summer camp in Upstate New York, Camp Hayden Marks, boys aged 9-13, and had the most amazing time, that time cemented my love of working with children, it's a great organistaion who do amazing work. Maybe one day I will come to New York again and run for them.

In the meantime if anyone is thinking about running on behalf of them don't think just do, this organistaion changes the lives not just of the children they reach but also the adults with work with those children.

P.S hope your brother continues to recover.

I'm sending positive vibes to your PT to give you the go-ahead to get back running again. 14 weeks will be plenty of time.

Good luck! You've got a good training base to build from, so I'm sure you'll be fine once you can get back to training. Hope you get good news! :)

Anne, you're awesome and I hope that life is treating you well! It sounds like things are looking up and the PT plan sounds like it'll leave you enough time for confidence-building pre-marathon.

Allez-Vous!

Fresh Air Fund kids used to spend summers on farms in the Shenandoah Valley, where I lived. There was always a lot of excitement upon their arrival. We take so many things, like grass and quiet time, for granted.

Great news about the PT!
