It's red...and yes, I gave it a name! :)

"At the end of the day, we can endure much more than we think we can."
Frida Kahlo

I'd like you to meet Frida :)
Its a hybrid racer...which, means hybrid frame with thinner tires. It's perfect for me.

Heading out for a nice 11K (taking it slow - I've learned my lesson).
It's great to know that I have this alternative to running and for crosstraining.
I did get the padded shorts and a matching helmet.
The cool thing about having such distinct seasons is the end of season sale...I got a great deal!

 Cheers!

It is beautiful. I am jealous :-) I want a road type bike.

I have been trying to bike to work at least one day a week - and I am not going to make it this week. :-( There is always this weekend and I just might get out there for a bike ride.

ENJOY!!!!!

As the last car salesmen I had to endure told me once - "that red one looks good next to you. You and it - are meant to be." Unfortunately the cost and I were not. Frida, I am sure was a great deal!

Sorry I didn't get to comment during the week; it's been another hard five+ days of work.

The best part about that bike, too, is that you're able to easily convert it for rides to the grocery store along with your competitive or more intense exercise activities.

You may already have this, but you'll want to keep a little pouch with tire repair tools and then a tire pump on the bike... I just want you to be careful if you go on long rides!

Have a great weekend

I've often considered getting a new bike. Either a hybrid or a road bike but I haven't made the plunge yet. Hope you had an awesome ride.
