Is this a mini brick?

“You can't make bricks without straw”

Ready to go on this beautiful fall morning

First, I went for a run and completed 6K (3.7 miles)...this time my run/walk intervals were 10/1, definitely getting there. The best part is that my foot felt great...no problemo! I then came home, put on a jacket, grabbed Frida and off we went. BTW, I wore my biking shorts under my capris, so I was ready quickly.
Frida...patiently waiting for me

I met up with Uber H (who was out doing his 23K). My brother had joined him and my super SIL, who is injured, was also on her bike...so I joined them and off we went for a total of 17.75K (11 miles) of Sherpa biking :).

A run followed by a bike ride...is this a brick or an inverted brick? BTW, I hate really don't like swimming pools and well, swimming, so don't go getting any TRIdeas :) ...sorry for the bad humor (yes, I'm a little tired today - it was a wonderful, but busy weekend).

Cheers!

It sounds like brick work...not that I would know though. Haha. You are super cute in that picture :).

Some duathlons are run bike run. Its a brick for that scenario. I call anything that is back to back a brick..even swim run or run swim. So I say this is a brick

I'm with Lisa - any two sports back to back is called a brick in my house. Great job! And don't rule out a tri just yet... :-)

Happy to hear that your are pain free. Your recovery is going so well, have fun!

Hi! I'm Erin said...

I'm with you about the whole swimming thing. Which is why I'm planning to try some duathlons next summer! Bike and run, baby. Bike and run.

I"m with you. If I attempted a tri they would kick me out of the pool/lake/river/ocean whatever the body of water was!

Yeah for being pain free and I like your red bike!!

Let's see, sticking with your poor humor angle, I'd say it was a CRIB. (which is 'brick' weakly spelled backwards and rearranged)
Either way, when you're doing a tri, and they cancel the swim for whatever reason, you'll appreciate those cribs.

Hi there!
nice;-) normally a bike/run brick is in that order: bike/run, b/c that's the order of a triathlon. it feels weird at first to run off the bike, but you get used to it w/in 10 minutes.

Call it a kcirb - still a great workout, even if you have no trisperations. :)

^ ^ That's what I was going to say. (kcirb) :)

Great workout, whatever you call it!!

Fantastic workout and glad to hear your foot is OK! I don't know about bricks but I'm sure that counts as one.

Maybe a duathon (or whatever they are called)?

Great workout!

Glad your foot is doing better! Duathlon is a great idea! Also you could do a tri as a relay - get someone else to do the swim! I'm always on the lookout for a swimmer cause I definitely don't want to do that leg of a tri! :)

yeah that's a brick! Cross training to the max! : )

That's an inverted brick. Bike usually comes before a run. But any way you do it does't matter because hell you got a lot of working out in!!!

Hello Frida! I've never seen a pic of her. She's a hot date!

wow! Nice mini brick! Anyway, I like to say that your blog tagline is really interesting. I like it! :)

Yes, think duathlon. They are fun and you don't have to get wet! Great job on your workout!

Your workouts are amazing; congratulations on fitting it all in. Can I consider a run and then yoga a brick ;-)?

You really inspire me.

The tri is an idea that enters slowly inside our mind, be careful because now it is only cross training but in the future it can become tri!!!!
Great job on your workout. My bike says hi to Frida.
